Pools and Plays!

Char's parents moved into Sun River retirement community. They have a beautiful home but the best part is the beautiful pool. It was so hot there and the pool was a welcomed activity for all. The kids went in daily. This was the only day that I went in due to a busy schedule... it was refreshing and fun!

I think the thing I liked most about the pool was that there was no chlorine. It used salt water. .
This is the backdrop to the Tuachan Theatre in ST. George. What a beautiful backdrop of red mountains, and a handsome man too. . This photo was on the fourth of July where we saw Aladdin ; that was followed by fireworks which echoed in the canyon. It was so beautiful. The day was filled with dinner, family presentations on the fourth of July , the reciting of the constitution by many; that was aewsome; the play and fireworks. What a day!
In our seats right before the show starts. Lucy and Andrew see their first REAL play! One of our favorite things we did was to see Les Mes. The singing was so moving , the actors were so emotional. I think we were all balling when we met outside. Loved it!

Day 2 in St. George!

Add caption
One of things that Clarke wanted to do with Jared was to climb Angels Landing in Zion's National Park... so they did. Char's brother Steve and few of his children, and some of Kim's children also went. It was a really hot day; but a beautiful climb. Two years ago Jared hiked Half  Dome which took him 12 hours. This was a hard hike, Jared has problems with his knees coming down

Looks dangerous to me.... I would probably slip!

                                                     All in a day's work.

Notice the chains in the background... they use these to help on the steep climb.

                                              The group atop Angels Landing.
They are really glad they had this adventure together!

A Trip to St. George Utah!

On June 29th Jared , Clarke, and I drove to St. George Utah to  attend the Doughty re-union. We were invited, and were able to assist Clarke in joining Char and kids; who had been there for 2 weeks. Sunday was our first day. After attending Bill and Carolyn's ward we headed to the temple and the visitors center.

The temple grounds always have such beautiful flowers. I could not help but take a few shots and try out my new camera. I am learning to do a few things.

Absolutely brilliant , beautiful flowers1. I loved all the gardens!
This is the temple Clarke and Char were married in ten years ago. We have not been there in ten years. It was a beautiful day!

After the temple we went to Brigham Young's Winter Home where we had a tour and enjoyed learning a bit of church history. It was kind of a neat experience because Jared's ancestors helped build the St. George temple. Great way to spend the Sabbath.

Wow! These children keep growing. In three weeks they will have a new sister.
